Saint James

This is the home of a dear friend and one of my long-time organization clients. She challenges me and together we have created some gorgeous rooms. Our story began in her previous home. There, Bedeckers Interiors reupholstered a half dozen pieces of furniture and added some new upholstered furniture. We planned everything so the fabrics coordinated in such a way they could work together in many configurations and in different rooms. Like the Garanimals clothing of the 70’s that featured mix-and match separates, we laugh that we “garanimaled” all her upholstery. This came in handy as she down-sized to Saint James. It’s easy to place her furniture and rearrange it in different configurations. This home was stuck in the 1980’s and needed a huge refresh to reflect the new owner’s style. I’m thrilled she could look beyond the mauve and seafoam and dusty blue carpets, the busy floral wallpapers, the dated window treatments and blinds, and the horrid paint colors (baby poo brown anyone?!) to see the beautiful bones of this home. We painted EVERYTHING, replaced all the lighting and all the carpets. Now, the home is cheery, happy and inviting and truly reflects my client’s warm personality.
