Charter Colony

Special events are a great motivator for home improvements. Their son’s upcoming wedding reception to be held in this home was just that. This big busy family had never had time to focus on their home design so it was a clean slate. Sometimes a blank canvas is difficult to work with. You have to find a starting point from nothing. They knew they wanted their home to be pretty and pulled together and comfortable for a lot of people but were not sure where to start. We chose to begin the design process with a floral pillow that she loves. The wall paint colors were inspired by the pillow and then all the fabrics and art and furnishings fell into place. By the wedding date, their entire first floor was transformed. It was a beautiful backdrop for their special day.
